Steampunk as a subculture has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Fans of the movement include a mixture of goths, punks, cybergoths/cyberpunks, industrial music fans, science fiction and anime fans, gamers and geeks.

Many fans adopt a neo-Victorianism aesthetic through fashion, home decor, music and film and often in person at meet-ups and at Sci Fi, Comic Book, and other conventions.
